A new leak today revealed that three 12th-generation Core Alder Lake-HX processors will expand support for vPRO technologies.
The vPro is a complete bundle of technologies specifically designed with the business and corporate markets in mind. Thanks to this technology, remote management is made possible, which ensures a secure environment. Both things are critical in professional work.
A list of SKUs has been posted on the website and will be included in the upcoming laptops, the Dell Precision 7770 and 7670, both next-gen mobile workstations.
i5-12600HX (vPro): 12 cores 16 threads, up to 4.6 GHz
i7-12800HX: 16 cores, 24 threads, up to 4.8GHz
i7-12850HX (vPro): 16 cores, 24 threads, up to 4.8GHz
i9-12900HX: 16 cores, 24 threads, up to 5GHz
i9-12950HX (vPro): 16 cores 24 threads, up to 5GHz
Surprisingly, some of the ‘HX’ parts that have leaked before are not featured on this list. An example is the Core i5-12650HX. However, these SKUs may launch at a later date and time or may not be available for these Dell Precision laptops yet. Alder Lake-HX processors are one of the upcoming 16-core/24-thread mobile SKUs based on desktop silicon with 8 Performance and 8 Efficient cores. Until now, the 12th generation Core series of laptops was limited to 14 cores and 20 threads. This is because they are based on the Alder Lake-P mobile silicon which has up to 6 Performance cores.
According to ITHome, these Dell systems come with NVIDIA RTX A5500 or GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 16GB laptop GPUs. This is the latest information on the discrete graphics based on the Ampere GA103 GPU.
Dell and Intel haven’t released any information about the Alder Lake-HX series launch date yet, but if we have to comment on the rumors, they may be revealed on May 10.
