Apple has rolled out new bike routes for US Midwestern regions, including Columbus, Detroit and Chicago.
Bike Directions launched in iOS 14 and offers cyclists several path options if they want to navigate through bikes. Assets in Apple Maps include obstacles, ramps, and bike paths.
The new bike routes are for all of West Virginia and Ohio, as well as parts of Virginia, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. It is a continuation of the ongoing rollout of cycling directions on Apple Maps. On April 1, bike paths appeared in the Northeastern region of the US.
Apple’s default navigation app is getting better and better with new features since its launch in 2012. This year, the Cupertino-based company expanded into metropolitan Canada and now features 3D landmarks and advanced navigation options.
Apple Maps is also expanding in the UK, with teams equipped with cameras touring the cities to collect data.
