Valorant Easter Egg Apparently Reveals Agent 21’s Nationality

. Last updated: July 30, 2022

Brave teasers for the next character have seemingly seeped into the game, and the latest Easter egg has convinced players of Agent 21’s Indian nationality.

Riot Games have done their best to integrate cultures from around the world into the first-person shooter by introducing characters that come from specific countries. This has resulted in a very diverse cast of Valorant Agents adding their own flair to the game.

The latest releases like Fade and Neon added to the tradition by spotlighting heroes from Turkey and the Philippines respectively.

As we look ahead to future Riot drops in Valorant, we can expect this trend to continue. As we learn more about Agent 21, some clues already seem to be emerging as to what to expect.

Valorant Agent 21 may hit to race, nationality?

Valorant players found a new ’email’ in the practice run that has quickly convinced many that an Indian agent is on his way to the match.

“The keeper of Legion’s new powerplant has a name: Varun Batra,” the report read. “I traced its Alpha counterpart. He turns out to be a REALM agent.’

Valorant players were particularly interested in the name in the message, Varun Batra, which hints at what the character can bring to the table.

“Varun Batra?? Indian name, let’s go!” a person said. Another person connected the dots and identified the Indian god of the oceans, Varuna, as a possible inspiration for the Agent.

The post goes on to explain REALM’s goal to “recover historical artifacts from black market trading.” It’s unclear if this is a hint at the identities of the upcoming characters, but Riot made it a point to drop a new person into the Valorant lore.

In any case, we’ve gotten hints here and there from Agent 21, codenamed Mage, but this could be the first time we’ve been able to link a name to the character.

Until Riot confirms this, it’s best to take it with a grain of salt while we wait and see which new agent Valorant brings next.
