Valorant’s highly anticipated Tournament mode is almost ready to ship to everyone. Leaks have indicated that it will be released soon, so here’s everything you need to know, including how it will work.

Riot has long promised Valorant players an in-game Clash-esque tournament system. Inspired by League of Legends, it gives five stacks more incentives to play together in a serious environment with in-game rewards at stake.

It may not have the same allure as the Valorant Champions Tour, but it can certainly scratch that competitive itch.

Now, after years of speculation, it looks like Valorant’s Tournament mode is ready to launch in-game. Here’s what we know so far, including how it will work.

How does Valorant’s Tournament mode work?

Riot first unveiled Valorant’s Tournament mode in June 2021, a year after the game’s release.

They modeled it based on League of Legends’ Clash mode, which pits teams of relative skill level against each other in a tournament class. Teams played against each other in a single elimination round and got more rewards the more games they won.

Recent leaks have indicated teams will be placed in leagues to earn points during a season, and there will be a minimum level to participate. Teams will be placed in divisions based on their overall ranking and there will be smurf detection.

The Valorant Tournaments mode has been teased for a long time.

However, the developers were still having a lot of problems with the system at the time, so it remains to be seen in that regard. However, players can expect semi-regular tournaments – Clash is held every second weekend – and decent in-game rewards like player cards to bend.

Valorant Tournaments mode leaked release window

According to ‘ValorLeaks’, Valorant’s Tournaments mode will be launched in Valorant Episode 5 Act 3 or “very soon”. Regardless of the specific date, it looks like Riot wants to release it sooner end of 2022.
