Warzone 2 could finally get a firing range to test weapons and gear

Since Warzone was originally released in March 2020, an important feature that players have been asking for was missing, but it could debut in Warzone 2 instead.

Testing gear in Warzone can be an arduous task, relying on regular encounters with humans, finding enemies and hopefully getting a few gunfights before eventually being sent to the Gulag.

For most players, testing new weapons or builds is left to modes like Plunder or Resurgence, where you can easily spawn back with a different loadout.

That said, it can still be annoying, but at this point in the game’s lifecycle, many players have given up hope of a shooting range arriving in the title, similar to Apex Legends or Fortnite’s Creative mode.

Players won’t have to wait too long, though, as Warzone 2 may get one when it arrives in 2022/23, around the same time as Modern Warfare II.

popular leaker TheGhostofHope posted a tweet on April 28 stating that “Modern Warfare II will have a firing range,” which was of course great news for fans of the multiplayer.

He then followed up on that tweet and said he assumes Warzone 2 will also get the shooting range and answer players’ years of prayers.

It’s worth noting that since this is a leak it should be taken with a grain of salt, especially since Ghost only “assumes” the firing range will be in Warzone 2 as well.

There aren’t many details about Warzone 2 that have become available, but we do know that it will be built from the ground up, completely separate from the current version of Call of Duty’s battle royale hit.

With new features like a shooting range, Warzone 2 will try to outdo its predecessor in as many ways as possible.
