Warzone Players Demand “Dumb” Rebirth Island Plunder Feature Removed

Rebirth Island’s Plunder mode is one of the most popular sub-modes in Call of Duty: Warzone, but some players think it needs to drop an important feature to get even better.

Plunder is a game mode where a player or team can collect insane amounts of money formulated on the ground as loot, as well as kills and XP. The goal is to earn as much money as possible to eventually get a huge amount of XP.

While it’s popular, not everyone is happy with how it works on the smaller map, Rebirth Island.

The Plunder helicopter, in particular, has been described by community members as “irritating” and “unnecessary” with some calling for its removal.

Warzone players don’t want this Plunder feature

Loot Attack Helicopters

In a Reddit post uploaded by a user named Cit1es, the Warzone player explained what needs to change in Plunder, on Rebirth Island, to improve it.

They said, “The helicopters that come in as soon as the game is almost over… I’m getting them on big cards I guess (I’ve never liked them and frankly no one I know) but they definitely DO NOT WORK ON THE BIRTH. The map is too small.”

The post continues with examples of personal experiences, such as being shot and killed by the helicopters in very small circles – as well as the loud noise it causes.

“Let’s play when the helicopters come in, the map is so small that you are constantly being shot at by them, constantly, wherever you are,” the Redditor continued. “The worst part is that because they’re firing everywhere, it’s almost impossible to figure out if you’re being shot by an enemy or the helicopters, it throws you completely off the ground and you don’t know who or what to attack.”

Rebirth Island Attack Helicopter Counter

In the comments, another member of the community offered a counterpoint.

Loot of Rebirth Island must change according to Warzone players.

The user suggested, “The attack helicopters? Cold Blooded fights them.”

In the replies, the original poster said: “No matter what their counters are, they shouldn’t be on a small card like Rebirth and we shouldn’t be wasting a little extra on some stupid copy-paste mechanic who clearly doesn’t work on the card.

“They completely ruin gunfights because you have no idea where to start or who or what you’re shooting. It completely ruins the game and there is absolutely no place for them on Rebirth.”

While this player – and many others in the comments – eventually came to the conclusion that the helicopters should be removed from combat entirely, it remains to be seen whether Raven Software will make such a change in the future.
