Call of Duty: Warzone players have been enraged by “invisible” players who only appear in-game as shadows, but no one knows exactly what’s causing it.

In the two and a few years that Warzone has been around, fans of the Call of Duty Battle Royale have encountered several issues with invisible players.

While some players have become invisible through hacks, that’s not always the case. Some are able to appear somewhat ‘invisible’ due to the skin they’ve used to blend in with the map’s landscape, while others have used glitches to simply appear as a hovering gun. In these cases, even the almighty aiming aid can’t help much.

Even though we’re only a few weeks away from the launch of Warzone 2.0, these issues have managed to resurface, but not everyone is so sure how to do it.

Invisible Warzone players still popping up in the game

It was highlighted by Redditor V_I_N_E_S, who noted their confusion over how an enemy was represented on-screen only by the shadow their character model usually shows.

They seemed to suspect that the enemy might be around the corner any minute, but when the Warzone player finally fired at them, they were just shot without even standing a chance.

“It’s been happening for months now… nobody believed me when I said it because I didn’t record my play and people thought I was making excuses,” said one commenter. “I’ve had it a few times where I can’t see or hear the enemy until they start firing at me, but this is something else,” added another.

Some fans suggested that the suspected player in question was using cheats to appear invisible as well. “So many f**king cheats,” said one. “Although Hacker could still be invisible, the shadow still betrayed him. So… Anticheat both works and doesn’t?” added one more.

All in all, players couldn’t determine if it was a hack or a glitch, but they’re all hopeful things will be smoothed out for the arrival of Warzone 2.0. We’ll just have to wait and see.
