A Call of Duty: Warzone user came up with a way to trick other players into going after a booby-trapped money bag.
Players can find bundles and bags of money scattered across different Warzone modes. Sometimes the money is just out in the open; on other occasions, a little tidying up is a must.
Even a half-decent supply can lead players to make major purchases through the in-game Buy Station. Items such as armor, self-revive kits, and UAVs often prove particularly useful.
Since video games typically train users to pull for nearby currencies without thinking twice, a member of the Warzone community devised a cruel – albeit clever – trap.
This COD: Warzone money bag trick works like a charm
Out of love for money…
TikTok user torchD recently shared an edited gameplay clip that takes viewers through their Call of Duty: Warzone money trap.
The tactic involves hiding a claymore behind a hefty bag of cash, then patiently waiting for an unsuspecting enemy player to take the ace.
When the enemy combatant approaches the money, they accidentally detonate an explosive that nearly knocks them out.
The trap doesn’t completely drive out the other player in the video, but torchD is still able to pull off the kill after firing a few shots.
Cheating Warzone players with money bag traps is admittedly a underhanded strategy. TikToker torchD proved that the claymore trick works though.
Given that more than 1.5 million people have watched the video so far, Warzone believers may want to be extra careful with the in-game money they find in the coming days.
And torchD’s “Bag Alert 2” video, which shows a similar trap with a trail of money bundles, indicates that these kinds of tricks will become more creative over time.
Apparently even money is not considered sacred in the world of Warzone.
