The next season of Apex Legends, season 15, will add a new legend and possibly even a new map. Here’s when season 15 of Apex kicks off and what to expect.
Season 14 added a new sniper legend, Vantage, a level cap increase after more than two years, and a major update to Kings Canyon.
But there’s always a new season to look forward to as soon as one starts. Next up is season 15, of course, and while we don’t know much about it yet, there are a few key details.
Apex Legends Season 15 Release Date
Apex Legends Season 15 Begins November 1 – based on the in-game countdown and the usual Tuesdays launch day for new seasons. This is also the planned end date for the Fight or Fright event.
It’s possible that Respawn adjusts this date, as they have occasionally done in the past, but usually the in-game countdown is a good marker for when the new season will drop, and new seasons always start on a Tuesday.
Who is the new legend for season 15?
Based on past leaks and game files after the Season 14 update, the Season 15 Legend is expected (but not confirmed) toCatalyst‘.
It is possible that this is just a working name for the Legend that could change later. The leak for Catalyst said they were a “creative builder”, with the following capabilities:
- Passive: Reinforce – Standing near your ferro-fluid structures, doors, and other Legends placeables strengthens their integrity and allows them to take significantly more damage.
- Tactical: Ferro Shot – On impact, the shot creates a ramp of hardened ferrofluid that can be extended by more shots. Can also be used to create platforms on walls (max. 3 structures).
- Ultimate: Iron Tower – Ferrofluid rises from below, pushing you up and creating a high solid column below you.
As always, leaks are subject to change, and so all of this may have changed or been scrapped completely by the time the new Legend is actually released.
New map in season 15?
Other than the new Legend, not much is known about Season 15 yet. It is likely that Olympus will return to the map rotation as Season 14 is over.
Given the gap between new maps (Storm Point was released in Season 11), one can hope for a new map in Season 15. And all the signs point to the New Moon map.
The leaked map is based on a moon, which is said to be in deep development. On top of that, leaker Tom Henderson reported on September 9 that season 15 will be called “Eclipse” — that’s when the moon covers the sun.
Will the gift come in season 15?
According to some Apex Legends goodies, it looks like Respawn is gearing up to finally introduce a gift system so you can send your friends – and probably enemies too – some shiny new cosmetics.
The developers reportedly added a host of new icons to the game files in Season 14, with a launch planned for Season 15. Nothing has been confirmed, though.
But that’s all we know about Season 15 for now – check back later as we’ll keep this page updated with the latest.
